Article Specs: Would you like to contribute an article?
HSA is seeking articles for our “News and Articles” page of the website (https://hsasupport.org/posts/). We want to hear from our members about challenges and successes you’ve experienced. Maybe you found the BEST curriculum that made writing… or math… or science easy and fun for your kids. Would you be willing to tell others about it? Maybe you’ve finished homeschooling your kids, and even though you sweated every minute, now your teen has grown and gone to college with a full-ride scholarship. We’d love to hear about that! You don’t need to be a professional writer to contribute. Here’s what we’re looking for:
- “Day in the Life of a Homeschooler” feature article (1,000 word limit): this could include viewpoints from the super-structured to very loosely-structured families;
- “What Works for Me” (500 word limit): this could include how to structure your day; how to homeschool with different ages; how to plan out a month’s worth of meals;
- “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff” (300 word limit): encouraging, reflective pieces from seasoned homeschoolers who’ve been there, done that);
- “Short and Snappy Product Reviews” (300 word limit): let homeschoolers review a particular software, book, or tool that they use and enjoy; keep these positive but be realistic).
If you’d like to submit an article and accompanying photos, please title it and email it to email@example.com. Please include your first and last name, email address, and best phone number to reach you with questions. We reserve the right to refuse articles that are off topic or do not meet the word limit specifications, or edit for clarity and conciseness.
